Company Watch Chairs BIPA’s 143rd Annual Meeting

14th June, 2023

Event description

Company Watch’s Head of Data and Product Strategy, Chris Oatts, recently chaired the 143rd annual Business Information Providers Association (BIPA) meeting. BIPA’s core aim is to address issues pertinent to the credit industry, drawing insights from prominent UK-based credit referencing agencies.

This year, BIPA members discussed a range of key credit issues, including the VAT data sharing scheme, Companies House reform, and non-financial reporting compliance. The meeting also featured Sally Baker, Head of Corporate Reporting Strategy at the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW). She offered valuable insights into the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) and its implications for the future of the credit industry.

While the ECCTA will take time to fully come into force, discover how Company Watch is helping clients proactively manage fraud risk today through powerful software.
