UK care homes contributions to economy
The UK Care Homes industry contributes £16bn to the UK economy. With almost half a million residents already in care and looking to double in size by 2025, this market is definitely growing. However 49% of residents are funded by local authorities and 10% by the NHS. As their budgets are squeezed further the self-funders are being left to fund the shortfall.
